 THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL

In memory of Diane Lee Cornelious

Hers was that of an Angel's voice

That so soft and sweet was her song

Kind in nature was by her choice

Her loving heart so innate and strong

True of pitch and so blissful was she

To caress an ear in complete rapture

Was but only to sing out with pure glee

Then to caress a fallen heart in capture

Hers is that of an Angel's sweet song

We will listen, though, now so far apart

Her voice through God, now yet so strong

Will forever sing so gently in our heart

 A THUMB GOES DOWN!?

Driving home the other day, I came across a couple of hitchhikers on the highway! Not like it (hitching rides) was something new to me. When I was in my teens, I did a lot of it myself. So, it wasn't that I didn't want to be a good samaritan, and offer these strangers a ride. But, not after I got a real good look at those two! No, Sir! I mean, no way, Ladies (no, the sign had NOTHING to do with it!).

 LOOKING OVER

Sometimes, to look over a friend

Isn't quite what it seems

Looking over shouldn't offend

Unless the intent so deems

But to look over, and to forgive

Is sometimes closing an eye

Not always in what you may give

But looking over, and not wondering why

To be a friend is to be aware

Though, not always sure of direction

But a sense of when and where

Always to sense the need of affection

A friend to you, I will always be

My heart holds this to be true

And as you are looking over me

I will always watch over you

 MR. RIPLEY!!!

Head Hunters

It's hard to believe, but "Believe It or Not!" Mr. Ripley, had once (or maybe more than once?) traveled to South America to get himself a little head! I'm pretty sure that Jack Palance must have went along, and I strongly believe that some headhunters almost succeeded in shrinking his head!

Well, you can believe it or not. But, it would explain Jack's deeply set and sunk-in cheekbones!

 BOUGHT LOVE

Love is free, but not for me

I had to pay the price

"Okay," she said, and we went to bed

I know it doesn't seem nice

But when you're lonely, and she's the only

love that you've got

She's just giving to make a living

like it or not

She says she loves you,

while she takes your money away

But she won't think of you

on a cold and lonely day

I'll go back home, and feel alone

I'll save my money once more

When I see her again,

she'll give me a grin

while she locks her door

She says she loves me,

while she takes my money away

But she won't think of me

on a cold and lonely day
